Repair Center Provides Gear Drive Rebuild And Mechanical Equipment Rebuild

Horsburgh & Scott rebuilds gear drives of all manufacturers. Our experienced engineers are experts at reverse engineering, changing ratios, problem solving and/or upgrading any gear drive. The condition of every part from a used drive is evaluated by a member of our engineering team.  Our in-house inspection and certified non-destructive testing technicians can inspect any  gearing reused in the rebuilt drive including dimensional and gear tooth inspection, ultrasonic, dye penetrant and/or magnetic particle testing.  Rebuilt drives are spin tested and final inspected to new enclosed drive standards.

We provide a one-year warranty on our materials and workmanship for every rebuilt gear drive.

B & D Manufacturing Signs Service Agreement With Horsburgh & Scott

B&D Manufacturing of Sudbury, ON, has signed an agreement with Horsburgh & Scott to serve as its Canadian Repair Centre.

Horsburgh & Scott of Cleveland, Ohio approached B&D Manufacturing following an extensive search for an appropriate Canadian servicing partner. Horsburgh & Scott is a premier design, manufacturer and rebuilder of industrial gears and custom-enclosed gear drives for all resource industries. Service capabilities include evaluation and testing, engineered upgrades, on-site assembly and maintenance of any manufacturer's gear drive.

"Any industry with gear drive and/or gear related problems will now enjoy the benefits of a local service presence. On site service, gear drive rebuilds and supply of new units are some of the features that this partnership has established. Quicker turnaround to reduce downtime and lower overall repair costs are some of the added benefits. Ruest adds, "Other benefits include the fact that B&D will be able to provide customers with access to its Sudbury facility, and the difficulties and delays associated with shipping through Canada-U.S. customs are a thing of the past."

B&D's arrangement with Horsburgh & Scott represents a great potential for the Sudbury firm since it includes servicing gear drives throughout the complete industrial resource sector. Ruest says B&D is thrilled to be associated with a company as highly regarded as Horsburgh & Scott and looks forward to a long and mutually rewarding partnership.
