At Horsburgh & Scott, our staff has the capability to service gear boxes manufactured by us as well as units designed by third-party companies, including Dominion Engineering. We can even provide sub assemblies to allow for faster gear box re-assembly during routine maintenance or for emergency shutdowns.
If you currently have a Horsburgh & Scott unit that needs any component replaced, all you need is the part’s serial number to call for a quote and begin the service process.
For all gear boxes rebuilt by Horsburgh & Scott or those that require reverse engineering, we can supply all of the mandatory parts, every time. If necessary, a technician will come to perform an on-site inspection.

Our engineering staff can review the original Dominion Engineering specifications and recommend improvements including higher quality surface finish by utilizing our high-speed gear grinders, improved hardness and durability or changing the gear ratio to meet your latest requirements. We can also supply and upgrade components for Dominion Engineering high-speed gear boxes. If the original Dominion Engineering drive requirements cannot meet your demands, Horsburgh & Scott can supply a new custom drive unit designed for your space limitations.
